I recently graduated from Heidelberg University in Germany with a Master’s degree in Physics. During my Bachelor’s and Master’s studies I focused on fundamental research with Atoms and Molecules. Lately, I have become increasingly more interested in applied science with the potential to help improve lives. For this reason I have chosen to apply at the Netherlands Cancer Institute.

Currently I am undertaking a research fellowship under the supervision of Valentina Corbetta and Wilson Silva. During this six months period, I will focus on Federated Learning and the challenges with implementing it for heterogeneous medical imaging data.
