I am a Master’s student in Technical Medicine at the University of Twente, conducting my thesis research in collaboration with the Netherlands Cancer Institute. Under the supervision of Kevin Groot Lipman and in collaboration with NKI’s own surgery department, my research focuses on developing an AI-based model for the segmentation of critical structures in the pelvic region. This model aims to improve navigation-assisted surgery for locally recurrent rectal carcinoma, enhancing surgical precision and patient outcomes.
